IMPORTANT - SPIKE ISLAND

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU TAKE AS MANY ITEMS OF CLOTHING WHICH WILL CONTRIBUTE TOWARDS YOUR COSTUME. COSTUME WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DRESS EVERYONE. IF YOU HAVE NOT FOLLOWED THESE INSTRUCTIONS YOU WILL BE TURNED AWAY WITHOUT PAY.

SPIKE ISLAND – COSTUME REQUIREMENTS

We’re trying to recreate the Stone Roses Spike Island concert in May 1990, so here are a few pointers of what to bring if possible and what not to bring...



MEN
Baggy T-shirts (borrow from your dad!)
Large polo shirts (borrow from your dad)
Baggy hoodies
Denim shirts (baggy/large size)
Check shirts (baggy/large size)
Tracksuit tops (baggy/large – borrow from someone bigger than you!)
Baggy Blue jeans – Gap Carpenters & boyfriend style are ok.
Shell suit bottoms/tracksuit bottoms/jogging bottoms.
Baggy shorts.
Any vintage trainers – Adidas Sambas/Allstars/Stan Smiths
                                    Puma States/Reebok Hi-tops
Or any old looking none named trainers.
Kickers
Doc Martin shoes or boots
Classic Timberland boots.

WOMEN
Baggy T-shirts (borrow from someone bigger than you!)
Baggy long sleeve T-shirt tops
Crop tops
Vest tops
Baggy hoodies
Denim shirts (borrow from someone bigger than you)
Dungarees
Baggy shaped jeans – (boyfriend cut or Gap carpenters are good)
Wide leg trousers
Baggy shorts
Cut off jeans (made into shorts that finish at the knee – not tight fit)
Baggy/shapeless sundresses.
Big denim jackets.
Bomber Jackets.
Palladium boots.
Palladium shoes.
Doc Martin boots.
Doc Martin shoes.
Kickers.
Any vintage style trainers – (as above).

PLEASE DON’T BRING:
Skinny jeans/bootcut jeans/denim hotpants/short shorts/jeans with modern seams across the leg/patent or patterned Doc Martins.

*FOR NIGHT SHOOTS PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU BRING THERMAL TOPS & THERMAL LEGGINS. YOU CAN BRING A BAGGY HOODIE OR BAGGY SWEATSHIRT/DENIM JACKET & WE CAN CHEAT IT INTO SHOT EVEN IF YOU’VE BEEN IN ALREADY. GIRLS IN SHORTS: PLEASE BRING A COUPLE OF PAIRS OF FLESH COLOUR TIGHTS. BRING A COAT FOR IN BETWEEN TAKES.*
